Gaining weight in winter is very common as there is higher level of inactivity combined with the food. Winter is a season in which people tend to gain an extra few pounds of weight due to the lower level of activity as in summers. The terms that used frequently for weight loss in a short period of time are ana, pro ana, and thinspiration or in short words thinspo.
If you are new to this I will try to explain again shortly what the terms mean.
What is meant by pro-ana?
Pro-ana generally refers to the problem of the eating disorder mostly known as anorexia nervosa. “Ana” and is sometimes embodied by anorexics as a girl named ‘Ana’. Another term pro-mia have the same meaning like pro-ana and refers to the same type of problem . Generally thinspiration is referred as natural slimness that somebody has.
Different organizations have different stance on pro-ana. Most of them claim that they exist mostly as a non-judgmental atmosphere for anorexics and we can call it as a complete mental illness. While many organizations deny anorexia nervosa is a mental illness and claim instead that it’s a choice of the person. Every one in the family should respect that.
Modern research recognises Anorexia nervosa as a serious illness. Some researchers suggest Anorexia nervosa has the highest rate of mortality of any psychological disorder. So what you need to do in that case? If you want to get rid of the extra pounds you will gain while winter, then pro ana and thinspiration are two things that will make you lose extra weight very fast.
Take Proper Sleep
Sleep is one thing that our people do not take seriously during our weight loss plan when comes the winter. There are many researches on the fact that sleep matters a lot in maintaining your body weight. According to msnbc.com, five hours sleep is not enough. A person should take at least six hours of sleep. The people who sleep less than six hours are tend to gain weight (body mass) more than those who slept seven hours a day. For an amazing thinspiration body the sleep part is vital.
Realize whatever is making you Increase Weight
Another important thing is to realize what has made you gain weight. What changes have you made in your eating and drinking habits that have resulted in weight gain? For instance, have you started drinking more soda or have you started taking more calories in your diet. On the other hand, have you stopped doing your regular exercise? No matter what it is, you need to comprehend what made you gain all this weight.
Change Your Eating Habits

Fasting and thinspiration works amazing on winter. If you combine those two together you will be amazed by the results. The thing is pretty simple. As I said above, on winter, without realizing you are actually eating much more unhealthy and fat food. To change that and make your body get rid of it’s temptation for more food you have to use the fasting method. Meaning that for example three days you can only drink water and eat fruits.
